Joyce's Story
Well, after graduating from Seaside High in '77, I attended MPC and decided to major in Sports Medicine. Transferred to CSU, Sacramento and after majoring in Sports Med for over three years, I changed to Early Childhood Education. In 1982, I returned to the Monterey Peninsula and Marina...and began working at Fort Ord in the Child & Youth Services arena as a Training & Curriculum Specialist. Now that Fort Ord has closed, I'm working for the Defense Language Institute (DLI) ...in Oct of 2008, it will be 24 years!! om CSU, Sacramento (Criminal Justice). He's a retired Seaside Police Officer and we have three children, Cory (21) is my all-around jock but her primary sport is softball. David "DJ" (17) is my basketball player and is going into his senior year of high school. Chelsea (13) is my swimmer and will be entering 8th grade. My weekends are filled with traveling to sports tournaments, teaching CPR and First Aid or just plain home owner stuff...built a deck, landscaping, painting, etc. Boy, there's a lot to it!! I decided to checkout Classmates.com to see if I could reconnect with friends that I've lost touch with and to get to know others that I never had the chance to during those high school years.
